Roman Chamomile to the Rescue! Muscle Soothing
Roman chamomile oil for little (and big!) adventurers, plus an immune support hand gel

Hello Friend!
On February 2, 2025, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog Day, predicting six more weeks of winter!
Today, though, felt like a glimpse of spring. Mind you, there's still a few feet of snow on the ground, but I stepped out without even a coat. My alpaca sweater was all the warmth I needed—maybe even a little too much.
It was a reminder to take advantage of all the joy the winter season offers, such as skiing.
This year, my 3 ½-year-old grandson, Roscoe, is experiencing the magic of Montana skiing for the first time. My son, Jaren, has been taking him up the slopes, and what began on the bunny hill has now progressed to the chair lift!
Last week, as the ski day was winding down, Roscoe begged for "one more time!"—a phrase every skier knows well. But, as often happens with tired legs, he couldn't quite make the turn. Down the bank, he went, where a tree kindly caught him! Jaren quickly removed his skis and carefully climbed down the steep bank, gathering Roscoe and his gear before making the slow, muscle-burning trek back up.

"One More Time" Muscle Blend
This blend is inspired by Roscoe’s fearless spirit on the ski slopes and the inevitable sore muscles that followed.
Roman chamomile is the star—soothing and calming, it’s ideal for both young and old. This blend has two versions: one with a low drop count for little skiers and one for adults.
For Little Skiers (or tired little legs)
1 fl oz (30 ml) Calendula-infused Olive Oil (Calendula officinalis)
1 drop Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
1 drop Roman Chamomile Oil (Chamaemelum nobile)
For Adult Muscles (post-adventure recovery)
1 fl oz (30 ml) Trauma Oil
5 drops Peppermint Oil (Mentha × piperita)
5 drops Roman Chamomile Oil (Chamaemelum nobile)
5 drops Spike Lavender Oil (Lavandula latifolia)
Gently massage into sore muscles, letting the botanicals work their magic. Whether it’s a day on the slopes, a long hike, or just the wear and tear of daily life, this blend helps you get back out there for "one more time."
Notes of Discovery
Our hands are constantly at work—preparing meals, comforting loved ones, and encountering the world in ways we don’t always consider. We pick up unseen microbial passengers with every handshake, handrail, and public door, making hand hygiene a daily priority.
While conventional sanitizers can be harsh, stripping away moisture and leaving skin dry, nature offers a gentler solution. This Natural Hand Gel Immune Support Recipe from Aromahead combines aloe vera with essential oils that cleanse, nourish, and support immune health—without the drying effects of alcohol.
Key ingredients include:
Aloe Vera Gel – Soothes skin while serving as the perfect base.
Lemon Verbena Hydrosol – Naturally antimicrobial with a fresh, uplifting aroma.
Sweet Orange Oil – Adds a bright scent while gently purifying.
Tea Tree Oil – A natural antimicrobial known for boosting immune function.
Thyme ct Thymol Oil – A powerful germ-fighter that also supports immunity.
This easy-to-make gel keeps hands germ-free and soft while supporting the body’s natural defenses. It’s a great addition to any daily routine!

A few years ago, my daughter Jenny and I traveled to England in search of Roman chamomile.
