Forest Bathing in Your Home: A Fresh Take on Spring Cleaning
The crisp scent of Scotch Pine brings the outdoors in—refresh your space with DIY natural cleaners and a new outlook for spring.

Hello Friend!
Why I Choose Organically Grown Oils
One small step becomes something so much greater.
This month, I’ve been thinking about the word “clean.” It shows up everywhere—clean ingredients, clean beauty, clean living. But it’s worth pausing and asking: What does “clean” actually mean to each of us?
Is it about what we keep out—toxins, chemicals, clutter? Or is it also about what we welcome in—clarity, care, and consciousness?
Sometimes “clean” looks like a well-scrubbed counter. Other times, it feels like a deep breath in a room that smells fresh and alive—or an essential oil produced without the help of chemicals like pesticides and fertilizers. And sometimes, it’s as subtle as a clear moment in your day where everything just feels aligned.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more about the concept of clean—in both practical and philosophical ways—and how that shows up in the essential oils I choose, the products I make, and the practices I return to. For now, I invite you to reflect:
What does clean mean to you—in your home, body, and energy?
When we clean with care, we practice reverence. We honor our homes, our health, and this beautiful planet we share.

Aromatic Creations Recipe
Here are two simple, earth-loving ways to refresh your space naturally and intentionally. Each recipe makes a 2 fl oz (60 ml) bottle of cleaning spray.
With the right ingredients, even using a surface cleaner can become a ritual that honors your health, home, and planet. These blends are made with pure, consciously sourced essential oils and plant-based carriers, offering a gentle yet effective way to care for your space.
✨ Optional intention while you clean:
“As I care for my home, I care for the Earth. I choose simplicity. I choose love.”
About the Essential Oils
The essentials are the same in each recipe. This trio of oils offers a beautiful balance of cleansing power and aromatic harmony. Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris) is deeply purifying and grounding, perfect for creating a fresh, forest-like atmosphere while supporting respiratory health. Lemon (Citrus limon) brings a bright, sparkling energy—naturally antibacterial, uplifting, and ideal for cutting through grease and dullness. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) rounds out the blend with its soothing, harmonizing qualities, helping to reduce surface bacteria while promoting calm and clarity in your space.
Earth-Honoring Sanitizing Spray
This is a longer-lasting option, perfect for regular use throughout your home. For preservation and effectiveness, it is best when made with high-proof alcohol (150–190 proof, such as Everclear).
Ingredients
1.8 fl oz (54 ml) Lavender Hydrosol (Lavandula angustifolia)
15 ml High-Proof Alcohol such as Everclear (150-190 proof)
10 drops Scotch Pine Oil (Pinus sylvestris)
6 drops Lemon Oil (Citrus limon)
4 drops Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
Directions
Add essential oils and alcohol to a 2 fl oz (60 ml) spray bottle.
Shake gently to blend. Allow it to sit for 1 hour.
Add hydrosol or distilled water to fill.
Shake before each use.
Fresh Small-Batch Cleaning Spray
Made with vinegar, this is a short-term blend you can mix up quickly and use within 1–2 weeks. Vinegar is a natural preservative and cleansing agent, making it an excellent stand-in for alcohol in smaller, more frequent batches. However, it’s not as potent as high-proof alcohol.
Ingredients
About 1.8 fl oz (54 ml) Hydrosol or Distilled Water
1 tbsp White Vinegar
10 drops Scotch Pine Oil (Pinus sylvestris)
6 drops Lemon Oil (Citrus limon)
4 drops Lavender Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
Directions
Add essential oils and vinegar to a 2 oz (60 ml) spray bottle.
Fill with hydrosol or distilled water.
Shake well before each use.
Store in a cool place and use it within 1–2 weeks.
